NAME Parichay. I’m an artiste and I go just by my artiste name!
Parichay means introduction. AGE 26. CURRENTLY I do music fulltime.
I worked in corporate sales in Dow and Apple, etc., but found
it was impossible to do justice to my music when I was splitting
time with work. FAVOURITE COLOUR In general, blue. For clothing,
black and white! FAVOURITE BOLLYWOOD STARS The actor who played
Satya in Satya...and Katrina Kaif and Sonali Bendre. And I’m really
not going by their work! FAVOURITE HOLLYWOOD STARS Jack
Nicholson and Salma Hayek. FAVOURITE MOVIES Scarface, The God-
father, and I really liked City of God. FAVOURITE
SINGERS Sonu Nigam and good old Michael Jackson.
FAVOURITE SONG Kasam se. It’s one of mine,
from my debut album, No Boundaries, released
through Times Music in India last month.
FAVOURITE TV SHOWS Raymond and Mythbusters on
Discovery Channel – I watch Discovery a lot.
OUT BY Bad singers! I NEED A Lamborghini! FAVOURITE ACTIVITY
Producing music. Music keeps me sane. I’ve been doing it since I
was 12. If I were to describe my music, I’d say it is desi urban – a
fusion of Bollywood with hiphop, R&B, Reggae. Besides my new
album, I’ve been producing tracks and doing features with other
artistes – I’ve worked for Shamir Tandon with Shreya Ghoshal
and Shaan. I WANT TO BE Someone who has an impact on pop
culture from the music

AR Rahman, Sonu Nigam
and Timberland. If I had
to pick just one, I’d say,
Sonu Nigam, because I’ve
watched him since I was
a kid, watched him grow. He’s the biggest example of how learning
is key and how hard work and passion pay off. TO SAVE THE
PLANET Use less paper – stop sending mail, send e-mail! Keep
things digital, electronic! IN A PERFECT WORLD We’d have one religion
– love! FOR FATHER’S DAY: I guess I’ll have a beer with dad!
