session, imitating sounds

New dance initiative
The South Asian Dance
Alliance of Canada (SAD-
AC) is a national network
created to connect artistes and
organizations engaged in various
forms of South Asian dance. A
membership-based alliance of
artistes and organizations engaged
in the training, creation, performance,
presenting, research and
management of South Asian
dance in Canada, SADAC promotes
South Asian dance and mentors
the next generation of dancers
and teachers. The members of
the inaugural advisory committee
are: Lata Pada, Natasha
Bakht and Nova Bhattacharya
(Ontario), Shyamala Dakshinamurti
(Manitoba), Jai
Govinda (British Columbia) and
Parul Gupta (Quebec).
