Twenty-one year old
Jasnit Johal has worked
for CashMoney for
the past two years.
The college student, who is
studying Business Marketing,
says the job ties in with her future
plans for a career in finance.
“The atmosphere here is
great! I fit right in from day
one!” she laughs. “There are
three shifts a day, with usually
three people per shift – more
on Thursdays and Fridays,
which are our busy days – and
we all get along really well.”
Johal is located in one of the
four convenient locations in
Brampton. It’s a large space,
with a lobby, a teller area and a
back area, all decorated with a
Valentine theme this month.
“Ours is a cheerful, welcoming
space,” says Johal.
The typical CashMoney customer
is anyone who works full
or part-time or has a fixed and
steady income. They are typically
interested in the Payday
Advance, Cheque Cashing and
Money Transfer services.
Most are regulars, says Johal.
“We see them every week, or
every other week, based on
their pay schedule. I know them
by name and we generally have
a full conversation while I am
cashing their cheques. I know
